Counselling

We are pleased to be able to offer counselling services, to provide help for both children and adults requiring more complex mental health and wellbeing support.

Our counselling support, provided by associate, Rebecca, provides a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to help individuals gain a better understanding of themselves, work through thoughts, feelings, emotions and experiences which perhaps may be too difficult to do alone or help where an individual may simply feel stuck and unsure of what to do next.

Meet Rebecca

I have a very positive attitude and feel that this characteristic, alongside my passion for working with individuals with mental health and complex needs helps me be the counsellor that I am.

In my counselling practice I aim to create a safe place for my clients to retreat to within their present life, to come to a deeper clarity and discover new ways to move forward.

I can offer therapy for those struggling with depression, anxiety, family issues, feelings of loneliness, low self-esteem, bereavement and loss and the search for meaning.

I provide my clients with a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where we can work in collaboration to help you understand and overcome the barriers you face.

I have worked with parents, grandparents and families who have been affected by the death of a child of any age (ranging from miscarriage to adult children).

I have also worked with vulnerable children for over 13 years in children’s social care. This has equipped me with a vast knowledge and skills on how to support and build relationships which enable trust and the ability to build a person’s resilience and confidence in themselves.

I have supervision for my professional development in line with BACP guidelines.

After a couple of bad experiences at "therapy" between the ages of 14 and 18, counselling became a trigger and red flag for me. After eventually coming round to the idea of needing help and needing to deal with my problems I found Rebecca's page and decided to give her a try. This was one of the best things I've ever done, in such a short space of time she helped me learn so much about me and what I've gone through and given me the tools to work on myself. I highly recommend her as she has a warm, comfortable environment making her easy to talk to.

I was struggling with anxiety and went to Rebecca for help. As a man I found it hard to talk about my mental health but she was so easy to talk to and helped me through a tough spot in my life. Would highly recommend talking to her as I know how hard the first step can be. (Men's mental health matters)

Rebecca made my experience in opening up so much easier! For a long time i had a hard time opening up about my struggles and kept my mental health to myself but Rebecca made it so much easier to open up. She brings a really comforting and judge free atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve known her a lifetime! I noticed a huge change in myself and my behaviours due to the sessions i’ve had!
