Sports and Enrichment Services

Sports coaching offer

Typically for older students who may be better engaged through sporting activity, the sports coaching course aims to educate young people on the necessary skills to work towards becoming a sports coach. Sessions would look into the coaching concept and blend theory with practical elements to increase the participant’s ability to work in a team, independently and responsibly. At the conclusion of the course, it would be hoped that all participants are able to design and run a sports coaching session for younger students.

General enrichment sessions

Designed to be specific to the needs of your students, general enrichment sessions cover a range of different topics including bullying, resilience, e-safety, teamwork amongst others. Enrichment sessions can also incorporate many of the raising awareness days/weeks celebrated in the school calendar such as National Storytelling Week, World Book Day, Safer Internet Day, Fair Trade Fortnight and more!

Sessions also cover British values, covering the fundamentals of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance, as outlined in SMSC guidance for schools.

Primary sports coaching/extra-curricular

Following the KS2 PE curriculum as a guide, sessions can be undertaken either inside school as regular coaching sessions, or outside traditional school hours as an extra-curricular club/activity.
